ABOUT
Each month, Amber and Sue revisit a past program — a lecture, book talk, living history or article — and use a short clip from that program as the starting point for reflection and conversation. Together, we’ll explore the themes that surfaced in our past work and connect them to the events and ideas appearing in our upcoming season.
This series provides an early look at the kind of conversations Study Clubs will foster when they officially launch in Fall 2026. If you’re interested in thoughtful community, deeper engagement with our programs, and a space to explore meaning alongside others, you’re warmly invited to join us. No homework, no pressure — just conversation that helps us see our work, and each other, more clearly.
Each month centers on a past program that sparked meaningful conversation, using a short clip as the entry point for reflection. Here’s what we’ll be exploring together:
Jan 11, 2026: Healing and Connection — Dr. Bruce Perry, What Happened to You?
Feb 1, 2026: Principles and Power — Dr. Danielle Allen, The Declaration of Independence Today
Mar 8, 2026: Belonging and Memory — Mona Susan Power, A Council of Dolls
Apr 12, 2026: Curiosity and the Human Spirit — Substack Exploration
May 3, 2026: Civic Dialogue and Understanding — Arnold Kling, The Three Languages of Politics
