Peacebuilding Starts at Home with Chip Hauss

This is a 6-meeting virtual class using the Zoom platform.

About this class: By taking one lap around what we call the Peacebuilding Starts at Home Loop, students will learn about cutting-edge approaches to peacebuilding in the United States as we begin the second quarter of the twenty-first century. That “journey” will simultaneously take place on two levels. First, students will show that peacebuilding offers one way of approaching—and even solving—many of the problems facing our country. Second—and in some ways more importantly—they will see how they and the people they know or live with or work with can help make peacebuilding at home happen.

Instructor bio: Charles "Chip" Hauss is a veteran educator and author. He is currently Senior Fellow for Innovation at the Alliance for Peacebuilding where he helps lead its Peacebuilding Starts at Home project. He is the author of nineteen books, the most recent of which, not surprisingly, is entitled Peacebuilding Starts at Home: How You Can Make It Happen.
