How do the humanities help us heal? Dr. Bruce Perry, renowned psychiatrist and co-author of What Happened to You?, explores the powerful role that human connection and personal narrative play in overcoming childhood trauma.
In this one-hour virtual program, Dr. Perry will share insights from decades of clinical work and research, showing how storytelling, meaning-making, and community are essential for resilience and recovery. About Dr. Perry:
Dr. Bruce D. Perry is a psychiatrist and neuroscientist whose work focuses on childhood trauma and brain development. He is the Principal of the Neurosequential Network, Senior Fellow of The ChildTrauma Academy, and co-author of What Happened to You? with Oprah Winfrey. His pioneering research has shaped trauma-informed practices worldwide, emphasizing the healing power of relationships, story, and human connection.
