ABOUT

Virtual Book Talk with C.J. Wynn

Sunday, Jan 18, 2026 | 4–5 pm CT | Zoom

True crime meets the harsh reality of the North Dakota oil boom in Miles of Destruction, where a murder-for-hire plot unravels amid greed and power. Based on James Henrikson’s murderous descent, C.J. Wynn unpacks how ambition turned violent across communities from the Bakken fields to the Pacific Northwest. In this virtual event, she’ll discuss her exhaustive investigative process and narrative approach—and participants will sharpen soft skills like critical thinking, empathy, ethical reasoning, active listening, and civic awareness.

About C.J. Wynn:
